Well if he does resign, we might as well start discussing possible replacements. Lauren Blanc is available.
Chris Hughton did a good job at Newcastle, and continues to impress at Brighton.

Judging by his comments post match today, Slav seems a broken man who has lost direction.
“We have a good week on the training pitch and we think it’s okay and then comes the match and it doesn’t happen".
That's such a lame comment. I know there's nothing positive to take from today, and the last few games, but if the manager cannot come up with something upbeat then we've got no hope.

Fucking sad day when we turn on one of our own, his being badly let down by probably the best squad we have had for the last 20 years.

I think you're dead right, another performance like today against Middlesbrough and I reckon it could be enough for him to go. Something behind the scenes is drastically wrong , I can't believe the absolute pile of shit we have got in this summer were his choices , if they were he should be sacked on that basis alone. We are in massive trouble at the moment another worrying thing for me today was that the players seem so unfit what the fuck are they doing in training.

He should leave, but he won't. Hiddink or Mancini would be my choices.

Re: Bilic could resign

There comes a point in a managers tenure where they seem to totally run out of ideas of how to stop the rot, this is Slaven's feet of clay unfortunately, I pray he can turn it around but I'm not sure he believes he can anymore.
By the way, if that fat cunt Steve Bruce comes anywhere near this club I'm finished with it, that might sound melodramatic but this football club seems like an empty husk right now fuck knows what it'd be like if that was ever allowed to happen.

What is this "Bilic is West Ham" bollocks?
Bilic is the same as every other current player and and manger - answerable to his employer to the extent that the contract he accepted requires him to be.
No more, no less.

If we can hang on this year I'd go all out for Eddie Howe I wasn't sure about him being able to hack it in the Premiership but what he has done at Bournemouth is incredible. I'd love the next manager to be English and he'd be my choice.

I like Bilic but i'm not happy with this situation and it has to change but we've had bad runs under every manager over last 30 years or more. So why are people so quick to turn a manager who gave us one of the best seasons ever since I've been a fan.

Read the posts - few are saying he should be sacked, that is not the point
The point is that he looks like he will jump, that is what we are saying

There is no way Bilic walks, Managers just don't resign these days because the very vast majority of them get paid a fortune when they are sacked. He also will not walk because he is a proud man and will want to fix the mess.

No football managers resign anymore for fuck's sake. It would cost him the best part of £5million.

The Mourinho / Chelsea last season comparison is very apt here. I didn't watch this game (almost out of proetest) but having seen us pre-season and the games vs Astra & Watford for me spelled players / staff underestimating the opposition and task ahead. They looked unfit then & look unfit whenever I've seen them this season. Maybe also answers the reason why we have constant injury problems at the club. The staff need to look at themselves and really adress this. The Sakho situation sums it up for me. How a player can be allowed to go to a WBA transfer medical unfit is beyond me. Absolute management scandal for me.

Thinks have to change radically to turn things around. There is a difference between having a run of defeats because you look out of form or luck and what we have seen this season and particularly in the last 3 league games ...... that is a complete breakdown where we look like we are incapable of beating anyone. If we play like we did today we would lose to Boro ...: and Burnley & Hull & Stoke.

rumford 'So why are people so quick to turn a manager'
By implication we have got the hump with him and on a thread about his potential leaving, means we want him gone
That is not what we were debating, we were referring to his disposition and the possibilty /probability of him calling that shot
Plenty here feeling sorry for the bloke
